Updated version numbering and future plans

Dear developement blog,

Long time no see huh? Well, there's a good reason for that. I'm currently fulfilling military service in Finnish Defence Forces. Unfortunately it is compulsory for every young finnish lad like myself. Blah. Needless to say I don't really have much time for this project (or any project for that matter) right now.

I'll be done with this war-larping in January. I've done some planning for this project. First I'll fix some bugs, then I'll add some simple but necessary features seCMS is missing atm. After that it's maybe time for some bigger update. The code is currently kind of mess. It should be cleaned! The layout is too dark for simple template. It should be lightened! The features are lacking  a lot of neat things. They should be created!

Hopefully I'll have time to do everything I want. And by time I mean interest.

Also, I thought the version numbering wasn't that accurate. seCMS clearly isn't yet ready for 1.0 release. So I changed current version number from 1.0.1 to 0.1.1. It makes much more sense now.

seCMS 1.0 released!

I'm happy to annonuce that the first version of seCMS is now released! seCMS is simple content management system and best of all its free and open source!

Installing seCMS is really easy, just download and unzip the files in our latest release package to your webserver. Add your MySQL information to inc/config.php and run install.php. That's it.

There are no any kind of documentation so you need to know some PHP and JavaScript to customize the software. You can always drop me email if you have something to ask about seCMS.

seCMS is currently available in two languages, English and Finnish. Translating the UI is really easy, just duplicate inc/lang/en.lang.php and translate few rows.
